Metro Tech in Oklahoma City held the fourth annual Moodle Moot Oklahoma this week. This event is growing in size and importance. This years event was larger than last years and was stretched to three days to better accommodate those just getting in to Moodle for the first time. Over the two days of the actual Moodle Moot conference there were thirty nine sessions divided in to five tracks. There were attendees from as far away as New Zealand along with England and Belgium. Most attendees were from Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.

On Thursday afternoon I had the privilege of hosting a session on Joomla and Moodle. This session was attended by sixteen people. Discussion began on proMoodle and how limited it was at providing single sign on to Moodle from Joomla. It was encouraging to hear from others who faced the same frustrations with this package as I had. I then presented on how jFusion could be used to provide that seamless SSO between Joomla and Moodle that many are looking for. I also showed templates for both platforms that presented the same look and feel to both.

This was also the first conference I have had the pleasure of where Twitter was heavily used by the attendees. On Friday morning our keynote speaker spoke from Australia  using video conferencing technology from Adobe and answered questions from the audience in Oklahoma City that were posted on Twitter. I wrote a couple short twitter posts, but mostly used Twitter from my cell phone to post next actions on nozbe.com.
